I have to say a huge "thank you" to Wendy and Karen for their help. They have both given me instructions on how to place "adverts" on my blog!  THANK YOU ....Mmwwwwaaaa

Another thank you to Karen for her rocker card instructions on her blog. I have tried it out.... with paper!! and it works love.... it really does... so all I have to do now is to make a card, eh??

Meanwhile, this is one I made last night on the "Live Craft"

Black and white Core'dinations, followed by a small flowery pattern from a paper pad by Papermania. The central white piece is glitter "paper" and on top of that is a piece of silver holo card from HunkyDory.... the little heart in the centre is a wooden one, covered with the Papermania paper and bling added to some of the "flowers".... oh and the ribbon is from a selection from Papermania...
I wasn't too sure about it last night, but this morning, maybe because of the day light, I rather like it... shall I call it "Umpteen shades of Grey"???   :) :)

Oh heck!!

I just thought that I would try to get a company logo on my blog and tried.... but I somehow knew that it wouldn't work!!! :(
It says to copy and then paste it onto your blog ...  but guess what... I haven't a clue how to do that ... :) :)
Anyone out there care to help me???   PLEASE.

Thanks in anticipation...

Same day.... wow!!

This is the first Christmas card of the year! Am so far behind, I can't believe I will ever catch up.

Card stock and topper are all from Hunkydory. Their rainbow foiled card is f a n t a s t i c!!!!!!!! The papers are from The Snowman via Crafter's Companion.

This one is based on a pearlised card which I brushed over with a colour from one of my Big 'n Juicy pads... was I so lucky it was the right shade, or what!! I use brushed that look like men's shaving brushes when I want to add colour to my things. I am hopeless with a sponge, or anything else!
Once again I used the Hunkydory rainbow foiled card and topped that with one of their Christmas papers and one of their Christmas toppers which has been covered with their snowflake acetate and is slightly bowed. Peel off greeting finished it all off.

Timely Thursday

Haven't really been up to a great deal, although for some reason I always seem to be busy! How does that happen??

I made this card for a very special person. Knowing that she loves giraffes, I could not resist using these papers and the topper. They are from a range that I do so love. The quality is superb and the designs are just too cute for words. To "top" (ha, ha,) it all off, they are liberally sprinkled with encapsulated glitter.

Back again!!!!

Well, after finding out that I can get back onto my bloggs ... fate takes an unkind hand and puts me out of action! I was sorting out my photos stored on my pooter and began to feel a "twinge" in my back. Did my usual thing and ignored it. Oh, silly, silly me!!! Well when you have so many pains throughout the day, why should I take notice of just one more?? Anyway, the upshot is, the left side of my back went into total spasm! Oooooo did that hurt, or what!! I managed to get my Tens machine on to the spots, but all that did was ease the pain a bit. After a couple of days, the spasm eased of its own accord, but the pain was still there. I felt as if I had been kicked my the proverbial mule! Can't say how pleased I am that I got that Tens machine!!

Sooo, am I back ...  ????   Please, please let it be yes!!

When I was having problems with my blogg before and I ended up making another one ... "emjay" ... so now having two, I have decided to make one for my cards and the like and the "emjay" blogg for my jewellery and the like.

There, that being said, I should now try to put a photo on .. fingers crossed for me.

Whooo whoooo   it worked!!

IF I remember rightly, this card went off to a "purple crazy" lady in France some time ago!!

Now I know it works, I am going to go and sort through all my photos and will post some more at a later date.
Am off now to see to the "emjay" blogg.

Freezing Friday

Wow ... it's so cold this evening! We have had lovely clear blue skies all day and now we are paying for it! Temperature dropping so quickly. Will be an electric blanket night tonight!!
Just thought that I would pop on and show you a couple, or so cards that have dropped from my hands this last week-ish.

Love these shades of pink and purple. The intricate cut-out was done using "Joy" ... what else! The panels were too. Honestly don't know what I would have been doing if I hadn't got "Joy"...  cut the flowers out with her too. I used a template from B-C-E for the shape. They are so easy to use and all the calculations are done for you! What more could you want??? The card used is core'dinations... which is getting nigh impossible to get hold of. Most disappointed by this! Crafters Companion have a very limited stock and have told me that they aren't likely to be getting it back again!! I loved those "All in the Family" packs and although CC are showing them as still in stock, they aren't!! Now THAT really annoys me!

Okay another small card... same card stock and same make of template.

This is the inside of a Live Craft card (see previous posts) and the base card is from my core'dinations stash, as is the bottom panels and the "birds". The other papers come from some of my favourite stashes... the NeighbourWood and Woodland Folk... The outside was supposed to be the same as the inside, but, me being me ... this is what I did...

All the shapes were cut using "Joy" including the letters. I just love this machine!!

Thanks for stopping by ... I don't mind if you leave a comment either! :)

Back again!

Not going to go on about what has happened, just suffice it to say the ruddy life has handed me another load to carry!! Been out of action due to what happened, but I am so pleased that I have my "JOY" to help me through (the Cameo!). All I have to do is to try and stick all the bits and pieces together!!
February is quite a month for birthdays, so here are a few that were made over time. Some with "help" and others all on my own!!! WOW....

Mainly core'dinations card used, a little bling and some peel offs. The flowers were cut using a deep edge M.S. punch. The fold was done using a template from the B-C-E range ... the cantilever set.

Core'dinations for the base card. The backing paper is a double sided one from Woodland Folks and the topper is from NeighbourWood Friends...

This is the reverse of the paper used on the front ... and although from a different set, it matches so well...

This is for my best friend of nearly 44 years!!! OMG!!! She lives on her own and I always send her a Valentines ... just to say ... !!
Used core'dinations throughout and finished off with some peel offs.

For my S.I.L. who just loves Radley bags!! (Poor love!) What else could I make her? Plain white base card covered front and back with paper from the NeighbourWood collection. My doggy was cut using my Joy!! Little bits of bling and some peel offs ... she loved it!!

Used some pale blue textured pearl card for the box base, core'dinations for the letters and numbers, some silver mirri card, flowers from a Papermania pack coloured using my Whisper pens and a little bling as high lights.

Made from a "sketch" provided on the monthly card sketch challenge, which is on the Crafters Companion forum. I used core'dinations for the base card and for the backing too. The topper was made from a selection of papers and cut using Joy! Bits of bling and peel offs finished the sketch design.

The last one .... for now!!

Base card is core'dinations and the "snow" is some super smooth paper torn. Letters and design are cut from core'dinations using Joy. It is now winging its way to the USA.

Hope I haven't bored you to tears!! I really should try to pop on here more often, but I do find that there are just too many other nice things to do instead!
Thank you so very much for stopping by and hope to see you again real soon.
Bye for now.

End of the Month!

Well folks, here we are. The last day of January already and where did it all go? I haven't broken any resolutions, as I didn't make any...

Managed to make a card for hubby's birthday, which was a few days ago. Cut the intricate design out on the Cameo, of course! Now all I need to do is to try and find where I can get some black card of a decent weight...
Need to try and find some time now for a boat load of cards to cope with the February birthdays! I definitely need more hours in each day. So many things to fit in ... the knitting that's on the go, the crocheting that's on the go, making buttons and beads ... oh you get the idea!! :) :)
Hope you are all having a reasonably good day, or better yet, a good one!

Just a quickie

As I don't really have a great deal to say .... WHAT???? ... okay :) I thought that I would just post a couple of cards I have recently made.

This was done with the Silhouette Cameo! All the little bits and pieces cut so cleanly. Card stock used is from the Coredinations, a little white card and acetate complete the card.

Another one cut from the new toy! It's for a little boy whose birthday isn't until June! Will cut his name in separate letters and wind them across the front. Think red letters will look good.

This is a lovely simple card. I took the design from a Live Craft on Crafters Companion .... every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm... everyone welcome! The original was for a very large card and I don't like making such large ones, so I just halved the sizes and measurements. Cordinations card stock again, the backing paper from a collection called "NeighbourWood" and the butterflies are cut from some holographic papers I have had fro years.

This is from last nights Live Craft. Coredinations again, NeighbourWood paper again and a holographic butterfly with a couple of paper flowers all topped off with a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by!

Chilly Sunday

Well, what a rotten week! Decided to use my sticks when I was out on Tuesday. Thought that the extra exercise wouldn't come amiss! Well that was a BIG mistake ... The pressure I put into my shoulders, particularly the right one, upset all the workings and the pain traveled up into my neck and jaw. Now, I don't know about you, but I find that neck and head pain are the hardest to cope with... you know ... like bad tooth ache!!!!!! What can you do??? Grit your teeth and wait for it all to settle down and meanwhile, USE THE WHEELCHAIR!!!!!!!!!! Okay, moan over .... :)
At last I did manage to make something and although I shouldn't really post it yet, I think that the recipient wont mind. Will be in the post tomorrow!!

Sorry it's a bit blurred!

Main card was cut from Coredinations from Crafter's Companion. All the other coloured pieces are Coredinations too and the white is just plain white card stock from my stash. Will be making an envelope this afternoon ...

Well, that's it for now. Hope you all have had a good weekend. See you soon!

Been palying!

Had a great afternoon ... been playing with my new machine and have managed to work it out without that flippin' video!!!
Only made a couple of things, but it is sooooo great!!!!!!! :) :)
Spent the $10 freebie that came with it, well nearly I have 10c. left!! I have a list of "would likes" as long as both my arms. The on line store should carry a health warning, or at least a credit card warning!! :) :)
I promise to post the things I have made when I get them on the camera. Just remember, I am still learning!
Hope you all have had as good a Saturday as I have.
See you soon!!!

It's a good Friday!

Hiya everyone!!
Well.... my new arrived today and I have been trying to get it all up and running. Done everything I'm supposed to do, went to watch the Instructional VIDEO, but there are no pictures!! A lovely blue black screen and this American voice droning on and on. I thought that a VIDEO had pictures??? Sent a message to seller, so will see what comes of that. Haven't had a play yet. After all the messing about getting it out of the box and doing the pooter setting up, I deserve a break! All my card is out in T' Shed, so I will have to take a deep breath, pluck up my courage and go out to grab a couple of pieces. Will then have a quick play. Effort will be posted at a later date!
Began to feel "odd" last evening and still feel a bit that way today. Don't know what is going off and unless I get to feel worse, wont bother the doc.
I hope you all have a great weekend and only do what you really want to do!
Until the next time .... take care!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A very Happy New Year to all my blog friends! Hope you all had a good one and that the hang overs have gone.
I began this blog with so many good intentions, but life really got in the way over the past year. My hope, not just for myself, but for all those around me, is that this coming one will be so much better. All I can hope for is that I can make a posting at least once a week, no matter how small it may be.
Time got very tight towards the back end of the year and although I made many, many Christmas cards, I didn't get the chance to take many photos, so have no record of all the work I did! Oh, well. Just hope that the recipients appreciated what they received.

This one that I managed to get a piccie of ...

A "Snowman" background, with a couple of rub ons, but the tree is made from feathers! I did stick some bling into the "branches" and stroked glitter glue down some of the others.

A real 3D card, this one! Made at a Live Craft on the Crafter's Companion forum.

Another Live Craft effort. The decoupage is from a B. Potter cd-rom, bought from Crafters Companion.

Using the same measurements as the card above, but just moving the pieces around a little and a whole different look!

Apart from all the card making, I knitted a great deal, made some silk (real silk!) flowers, tatted some butterflies and mini doilies. Extreme knitted a couple of handbags and made a real silk top. Did manage to keep myself busy, even if I didn't manage to make it onto here!

So do I make a New Years' resolution ???? No, I don't think so... as we all know what happens to those! All I can do, is to try and make it here at least once a week.... maybe on a Saturday evening? Will get it written down in my diary... so fingers crossed!

Bye for now and thank you so much for stopping by. See you again soon..xx
