Freezing Friday

Wow ... it's so cold this evening! We have had lovely clear blue skies all day and now we are paying for it! Temperature dropping so quickly. Will be an electric blanket night tonight!!
Just thought that I would pop on and show you a couple, or so cards that have dropped from my hands this last week-ish.

Love these shades of pink and purple. The intricate cut-out was done using "Joy" ... what else! The panels were too. Honestly don't know what I would have been doing if I hadn't got "Joy"...  cut the flowers out with her too. I used a template from B-C-E for the shape. They are so easy to use and all the calculations are done for you! What more could you want??? The card used is core'dinations... which is getting nigh impossible to get hold of. Most disappointed by this! Crafters Companion have a very limited stock and have told me that they aren't likely to be getting it back again!! I loved those "All in the Family" packs and although CC are showing them as still in stock, they aren't!! Now THAT really annoys me!

Okay another small card... same card stock and same make of template.

This is the inside of a Live Craft card (see previous posts) and the base card is from my core'dinations stash, as is the bottom panels and the "birds". The other papers come from some of my favourite stashes... the NeighbourWood and Woodland Folk... The outside was supposed to be the same as the inside, but, me being me ... this is what I did...

All the shapes were cut using "Joy" including the letters. I just love this machine!!

Thanks for stopping by ... I don't mind if you leave a comment either! :)

Back again!

Not going to go on about what has happened, just suffice it to say the ruddy life has handed me another load to carry!! Been out of action due to what happened, but I am so pleased that I have my "JOY" to help me through (the Cameo!). All I have to do is to try and stick all the bits and pieces together!!
February is quite a month for birthdays, so here are a few that were made over time. Some with "help" and others all on my own!!! WOW....

Mainly core'dinations card used, a little bling and some peel offs. The flowers were cut using a deep edge M.S. punch. The fold was done using a template from the B-C-E range ... the cantilever set.

Core'dinations for the base card. The backing paper is a double sided one from Woodland Folks and the topper is from NeighbourWood Friends...

This is the reverse of the paper used on the front ... and although from a different set, it matches so well...

This is for my best friend of nearly 44 years!!! OMG!!! She lives on her own and I always send her a Valentines ... just to say ... !!
Used core'dinations throughout and finished off with some peel offs.

For my S.I.L. who just loves Radley bags!! (Poor love!) What else could I make her? Plain white base card covered front and back with paper from the NeighbourWood collection. My doggy was cut using my Joy!! Little bits of bling and some peel offs ... she loved it!!

Used some pale blue textured pearl card for the box base, core'dinations for the letters and numbers, some silver mirri card, flowers from a Papermania pack coloured using my Whisper pens and a little bling as high lights.

Made from a "sketch" provided on the monthly card sketch challenge, which is on the Crafters Companion forum. I used core'dinations for the base card and for the backing too. The topper was made from a selection of papers and cut using Joy! Bits of bling and peel offs finished the sketch design.

The last one .... for now!!

Base card is core'dinations and the "snow" is some super smooth paper torn. Letters and design are cut from core'dinations using Joy. It is now winging its way to the USA.

Hope I haven't bored you to tears!! I really should try to pop on here more often, but I do find that there are just too many other nice things to do instead!
Thank you so very much for stopping by and hope to see you again real soon.
Bye for now.

End of the Month!

Well folks, here we are. The last day of January already and where did it all go? I haven't broken any resolutions, as I didn't make any...

Managed to make a card for hubby's birthday, which was a few days ago. Cut the intricate design out on the Cameo, of course! Now all I need to do is to try and find where I can get some black card of a decent weight...
Need to try and find some time now for a boat load of cards to cope with the February birthdays! I definitely need more hours in each day. So many things to fit in ... the knitting that's on the go, the crocheting that's on the go, making buttons and beads ... oh you get the idea!! :) :)
Hope you are all having a reasonably good day, or better yet, a good one!

Just a quickie

As I don't really have a great deal to say .... WHAT???? ... okay :) I thought that I would just post a couple of cards I have recently made.

This was done with the Silhouette Cameo! All the little bits and pieces cut so cleanly. Card stock used is from the Coredinations, a little white card and acetate complete the card.

Another one cut from the new toy! It's for a little boy whose birthday isn't until June! Will cut his name in separate letters and wind them across the front. Think red letters will look good.

This is a lovely simple card. I took the design from a Live Craft on Crafters Companion .... every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm... everyone welcome! The original was for a very large card and I don't like making such large ones, so I just halved the sizes and measurements. Cordinations card stock again, the backing paper from a collection called "NeighbourWood" and the butterflies are cut from some holographic papers I have had fro years.

This is from last nights Live Craft. Coredinations again, NeighbourWood paper again and a holographic butterfly with a couple of paper flowers all topped off with a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by!
